Big Sky Blanket Club 2026: Making an American Heirloom

This has been one of my favorite blankets on which to work. The patterns for this blanket are simple and the choice of colors open so that it really becomes your own creation. The yarns provided are sturdy so that the blanket can be left on your favorite napping/resting place in the active part of your home, but soft enough you want to have it on top on those cool afternoons. It adds wonderful conversation on what we have learned for each design. This is a true winner.

I just love the idea of making a "quilt" like that, have gotten a lot of great compliments, my LYS is even talking about doing our own knit along ( would have to figure this one fout, so we do not break any rules/laws. I am learning new stitches and new ideas. I just love the project. Glad I am doing it

This is my first collection from the Big Sky Blanket Club, and it is a great experience thus far. Stix uses minimal and appropriate packaging, and I've been able to use some of the packaging (i.e., the tissue paper) for other things. The treats included are special and much appreciated. I haven't had any problems downloading and printing the patterns, and the patterns are generally quite clear. I'm learning new techniques and the videos that Stix provides for special stitches like the double stitch are very helpful and well done. Finally, this is a wonderful way to try new-to-me yarn. The wool is high quality and great to knit. I love the colors.

Color choices are okay except for the Prickly Pear which I cannot use at all. The color is very offensive to me. I have put aside the Third Box hoping a new color can be used.
Box Four is quite nice.
