January Learn to Knit

Description

Take your first step into the world of knitting!  In this 2-part class, you will learn the knit and purl stitches, how to cast on and how to bind off all while making two rectangles. You can make those into a pair of simple fingerless mitts or a scarf if you prefer.

 

What You'll Need

You do not need to purchase in advance or bring any materials with you. We will provide yarn and needles for practice use, as well as some necessary notions. At the end of the first class we will lead a tour of the shop to talk about yarn and guide you on purchasing the yarn and needles you need to make your project.
