This ridiculously soft Targhee wool is grown and dyed right here in Montana! The wool comes from the historic Bair Family Ranch in Martinsdale, and Kim, the dyer at Western Sky Knits(WSK), has dyed it in her signature tonal shades. Bair Ranch Targhee is a combed DK Targhee Wool from a neighboring ranch here in Montana. The Bair Ranch has a rich Montana history that started in the 1880's and at one time was the largest sheep operation on the continent running 300,000 head of sheep. With fleece curated just for WSK, the perfect skein of soft, bouncy, non-superwash, wool was created.
