Description

Let’s learn to sew! This is a beginner class, where you’ll learn some basic skills to get you started with sewing, while making a tote bag. No prior sewing experience is required. 

Fabric and thread are included and will be pre-cut for you. Choose your favorite from the photos here and add it to your cart.

What you’ll learn:

  • Basic sewing terms

  • How to set up and operate your sewing machine

  • How to sew a straight seam

  • How to pivot at a corner

  • Take home a handmade tote bag!


 

What You'll Need

  • Sewing machine (Please bring one if you have one. We have a limited number available if you need to use one; please let us know in advance.)
  • Needles: universal sewing machine needle in either size 90/14 or 80/12
  • Scissors 
  • Pins
  • Measuring tape
  • Seam ripper
