Stranded (or Fair-Isle) knitting is super fun and much simpler than it looks! We will teach you the basics in this class, with lots of ways to customize your class project!
We are recommending worsted-weight yarn for this class, preferably wool for ease in working. We have bundles of color from Blue Sky Fibers if you want lots of little bits of different colors to work with, or you may of course choose your own skeins. One bundle plus a full-size skein of a main color is enough to make at least one cowl.
The pattern we will be using is the Basic Doodle Cowl, available on Ravelry. It has all the info you'll need. If you'd like to expand your chart options, check out these Doodle Decks too! They are optional, but once you get going with color-work you'll want to expand your chart library.
You'll also need size US 5 and 6 16" circular needles and a stitch marker.
You must already know how to knit and purl to take this class.
Class meets Saturday, September 23rd from 2:30-4. It will be beneficial for you if you have your ribbing completed prior to the start of class.
