An icon of American craft, Germantown was developed in Philadelphia in the early 1800s. The name Germantown is synonymous with a good quality worsted yarn. Germantown is made in the U.S. using 100% U.S. grown wool sourced from Montana, Idaho and Wyoming.
A few years ago, Kelborne Woolens did a Year of Hats which was a free hat pattern using this worsted weight yarn. There are some super cute hats in that series found on Kelbourne's website.
