Cocoknits Sweater Method Class

Stix

$50.00

The Cocoknits Method is a clever technique where you knit a sweater from the top down that fits nicely. Designed by Julie Weisenberger, this method is for the knitter who enjoys learning new techniques, likes details, and follows directions well. Cameron has made many sweaters using this method and likes the way the sweater fits.

This Cocoknits Sweater Method Class will meet three to learn about and work on your Cocoknits Sweater.

If this is your first Cocoknits sweater, I would highly recommend starting with Emma, either v neck, boat neck or cardigan. Emma uses bulky weight yarn and you will be able to stay on track for finishing it in 6 weeks. If this is your second, or tenth, Cocoknits sweater, choose any of Julie's designs.

Prerequisite skills: you must already know how to knit and purl, and have made a sweater before. Knowledge of magic loop is helpful. This is an adventurous intermediate to advanced project.

What you will learn: The Cocoknits Method, invisible increases, picking up stitches, knitting top-down, fit-as-you-go, and more!

Materials: Cocoknits Sweater Workshop book, yarn, gauge needles, a needle half the size of gauge needle for working BO, a very small double pointed needle for picking up stitches, Cocoknits Colorful Stitch Markers, tapestry needle.

Homework: You need to decide on which sweater and purchase the yarn you want to use for it. Email, call or come in to discuss your options.

Schedule: Friday March 1st, 8th, and 22nd from 4-6pm.

Closer to the class, you will receive an email with more details about schedule, yarn, and tools.

The $50 fee for the class covers all meeting times.
