Combining fabric with knit or crochet in a project is one of our favorite things to do! The best tool we have found to make that process fun and easy to do is the blanket stitch. This simple embroidery stitch allows you to easily border a quilt or a skirt with a knit or crochet border, or it's a great way to put together knitted or crochet squares with fabric squares to make a fun blanket. Check out our Quilted Garter Blanket or Charming Granny for inspiration.
We will provide the fabric, thread, and yarn for you to practice with, all you need to bring is a sharp needle to sew and a size F or G crochet hook and/or size 6ish knitting needles. We recommend these Sashiko needles for the sewing.
Class meets Saturday, October 7th from 2:30-4
