$40.00

Colorwork takes our favorite knit stitch to a totally new plane. Learn the art of alternating yarns to make a pleasing and entertaining fabric like so many knitters have for generations. In this introductory class we will work on how to read a colorwork chart, become comfortable holding working yarn in both right and left hands, and learn tips for taming those pesky floats, all while making an adorable hat.

Class fee covers instruction only, materials should be purchased separately prior to class date. You may wish to have your ribbing completed by class time to get the most out of the class.

Doodle Hat pattern available here.

Supplies needed are 4 colors of skeins of DK weight yarn and a US 4 and US 6 16" (hat)  or 24” (cowl) circular knitting needle, stitch marker(s) and darning needle. With 4 skeins of yarn, you will be able to make at least 2 hats by switching up the color layouts.

Class date/time: Thursday, August 11 from 2-5 pm. Hosted in the air-conditioned Stix Underground.
