Stix is busier than ever and we are ready to expand our team!
We are looking for just the right person to spend some time working in our fun and fast-paced retail space.....is it you?
The perfect candidate will have basic (or better) knit and crochet skills, general knowledge of yarn and crafting tools, and be super excited to share your enthusiasm of all things crafty with our shoppers. We now offer a great selection of fabric and sewing supplies, so knowing your way around a sewing machine would be a plus as well.
Our new team member must also have a positive, welcoming, and helpful demeanor when working in the retail shop. We truly value each of our customers and appreciate being able to help them choose a project or answer a question; our new team member needs to enjoy working with people and listen carefully to see how they can best assist each person who walks through our doors.
Duties will include in-person retail sales, some order fulfillment for internet sales, general shop maintenance, and willingness to learn new skills/responsibilities when appropriate. Ability to assist customers with their projects and use Ravelry to help them find a new projects is also a must.
Position will be 15-20 hours/week with flexible schedule. Pay DOE, minimum $18/hour, as well as an employee discount on yarn.
