Stix Policies
Returns
All regularly priced, unused yarns with the original label and receipt can be returned within 30 days. We encourage customers to purchase enough yarn to complete their project. After 30 days, we will exchange or give store credit for yarns with original label and receipt. We will also hold yarn for customers up to 60 days so you have plenty of time to determine if you’re going to need that extra skein or not. Customer pays return shipping on items purchased through our online store.
Knitting needles and crochet hooks can be returned within 3 days of the purchase date with the receipt and original packaging. Many needle brands have a replacement guarantee, so if a needle breaks, bring it back and we may be able to immediately replace it for you.
Sorry, but we can not return or exchange sale merchandise, ready made items, books or patterns.
Classes
Stix classes are free when you purchase your materials for the class at Stix. If you wish to use materials you already have or that you have purchased elsewhere, there will be a $15 class fee.
At least four people must be registered for a class so get your friends to sign up with you. If not enough students have signed up at least 48 hours in advance, the class may be cancelled or rescheduled. If paid, you will receive a full refund.
Some classes and workshops may require that we charge a class fee. Such fees will always be advertised in advance.
Help
Need some assistance with a knitting or crochet project? The Stix Chix are here to help you! Come by any time to ask questions. Stix is staffed by designers and artists who are experienced in both knitting and crochet techniques, and are happy to provide crafting advice or even just moral support free of charge at any time.
Winding
If you would like us to wind your yarn, just ask. We are pleased to offer complimentary winding services and we will even exchange or return yarn that has already been wound providing it hasn’t been used and you have the original label.
Special events or sales may mean that we are too busy to wind yarn at that time, but you can bring in your unwound yarn at a later time or leave it with us and we will wind it when we can.
